Family Pictures at Cooper Mountain Nature Park

Cooper Mountain Nature Park in Beaverton, Oregon overlooks the Tualatin River Valley.  It is a 230-acre park with beautiful trails and scenery that creates a stunning backdrop to any family portrait session.  During the fall and summer, I regularly visit the park for family, maternity and engagement photoshoots. Featured in today’s blog post is the playful and fun loving White family. Thank you for choosing Elizabeth Hite Photography!

Everything you need to know about family photos at Cooper Mountain:

Plan for a hike!

Wear comfortable shoes that you can easily walk in. The most beautiful views at the park are a good distance down the trail.

Leave your dog at home

Yes, it is fun to include your furry family member in your family photoshoot but that is not possible at this location.  In order to protect the wildlife, dogs and other pets are not allowed. If you want to include your pup, don’t worry, I have plenty of other pet-friendly Portland photoshoot locations you can choose from.

Please stay on the trail to protect the wildlife and natural habitat

It is very tempting to step off the trail for the views.  However, It’s best to follow the park regulations and staying on the trail in an effort to preserve this beautiful natural area that we are lucky to have access too.  I also have some special tricks up my sleeve to make some portraits appear to look off trail!

Plan your photoshoot at Golden Hour

Sunsets are Cooper Mountain are AMAZING!
