Best Babymoon Destinations in Oregon

While it’s beyond exciting to get caught up in the rush of planning for a new little one’s arrival, be sure to schedule time just for you and your partner–ideally during the end of the second trimester or the beginning of the third, when you’re still feeling like leaving the house!

That’s where a babymoon comes in.

Remember your honeymoon where you and your partner got to retreat for several fabulous days and pretend that no one existed but the two of you?

Maybe you strolled hand in hand on a white sandy beach somewhere in the sun.

Maybe you spent hours poolside under a giant yellow umbrella, sipping cool drinks and snuggling together.

Yeah, that’s what I’m talking about.

A babymoon is a mini vacay where you take the time to pamper yourself and strengthen your bond with your partner before the wonderful (but oh-so-exhausting) business of life with a newborn begins!

Living here in Oregon, we are so lucky to have some truly amazing romantic getaway places to choose from when planning a babymoon to remember.

Let’s talk about them!

And if you don’t have time to read about each one, just skip to the end of this post for a handy at-a-glance guide that quickly compares them.

Five Pines Lodge

First up is a hidden gem nestled among the stately pines surrounding Sisters, Oregon: Five Pines Lodge. If you’ve spent time in central Oregon, you know what I mean when I say nothing much beats the stunning natural beauty of the high desert, and it’s on full display here.

Five Pines Lodge offers private, roomy cabins with luxurious bedding and oversized tubs that take you by the hand and tuck you in with their promise of rest and relaxation. Cozy up with your partner in front of a crackling fire after a morning exploring one of the many nearby hiking trails. Soothe your body, mind and spirit with a pregnancy massage or hour-long facial at the lodge’s luxury day spa–you deserve it!

One of my favorite things about staying at Five Pines Lodge is the “tea and coffee” service every morning at their events center. And they have an option to take it to go! What could be better than nestling in the private cocoon of your cabin while your partner heads out to hand-select some fresh-made pastries and other yummy treats?

You’ll leave your stay feeling refreshed, connected and ready to take on those busy first days with Baby!

Brasada Ranch

If you can’t get enough of the beauty of central Oregon, definitely check out the Brasada Ranch. It’s located in Powell Butte, just outside the lively city of Bend. Their “Ranch House” rooms boast comforts galore, including private soaking tubs and balconies, king-size beds with rich linens, and unparalleled views of mountains like the Three Sisters. You’ll be properly spoiled in all the best ways! There’s even a “Romance at the Ranch” package that features a 1pm late checkout to give you a little extra time to relax and enjoy your time away.

If you’re looking for extra peace and quiet, you’re most likely to get it staying in a room at the Ranch House. Overnight guests must be 14 years or older which means you have a greater chance of sleeping in late. Take advantage of it now before Baby arrives!

Like the Five Pines Lodge, the Brasada Ranch has its own day spa where you can book a prenatal massage to soothe your body that’s working so hard growing your baby. Spa therapists use specialized cushions for maximum comfort so you can let go and let yourself be nurtured, knowing you and Baby are in good hands.

In the summer, spend the day lounging around the adults-only Cascade pool or head to nearby Bend for shopping. In the evenings, you and your partner can catch an acoustic show at the Range restaurant and bar or roast marshmallows for s’mores in the ranch’s outdoor fire pits.

The Brasada Ranch also offers on-site dining with farm-to-table options and a bar where you can request your favorite mocktail. With everything in one place, you won’t need to go anywhere else, but if you do get the urge to shop or experience a more urban environment, Bend is only a half hour drive away.

Arch Cape Inn

If the smell of the ocean and the sound of gently crashing waves is more your vibe, head on over to the Arch Cape Inn near the vibrant and artsy town of Cannon Beach. The inn has an old-world, European flair that will charm you. It’s a short walk away from a quiet, secluded area with long stretches of sand to wander and wiggle your toes in. Surprise your partner with a sunset walk and sparkling cider on the beach or stay in and snuggle in your room.

In the morning, you’ll be delighted by the variety of offerings on the inn’s delicious full breakfast menu. Choices include healthier dishes made with locally-sourced and organic ingredients–perfect for nourishing yourself and your growing little one.

After breakfast, stroll through the shops of Cannon Beach and listen to the seagulls overhead. If the sea stirs your soul, a babymoon at Arch Cape Inn is sure to be one you’ll remember for years to come.

A babymoon is so important for expectant parents. You need time to celebrate your growing family and time to come back to the memory of how your relationship began–with just the two of you. You’re sure to find the ultimate in relaxation and enjoyment at any of these 3 great Oregon babymoon locations!

For quick reference, I’ve included a handy at-a-glance table comparing the three options, so you can easily determine which one will be perfect for you!
