What is "Baby-Led" Newborn Photography?
Unlike traditional posing, baby-led photography follows an infant's natural cues. The focus remains on comfort and connection, capturing the baby in parents' arms or lying naturally to ensure a stress-free experience. If they need a snack, a snuggle, or a diaper change, we pause, no rushing, no pressure.
What is your approach to working with young children?
Kids are wonderfully unpredictable, so we keep things flexible and fun! If they need to run, be silly, or take a break, we lean into it. If they’d rather be held than snuggle, that works too. I follow each child’s cues to capture the best photos possible while also gently inviting them to participate in some playful + natural poses.
Lifestyle family photography is not about perfectly posed portraits. Your final gallery will be a combination of candid, playful moments and a few "smiling at the camera" portraits!
When is the best time to book a lifestyle newborn session?
For those extra sleepy newborn moments, the ideal time for your session is usually 7–14 days after birth. Because my newborn sessions are lifestyle-focused, newborn photos can happen anytime in the first few months. Older newborns often bring sweet eye contact, little smiles, and more connection. And if baby arrives early or late, no stress at all, your newborn session date is flexible. We’ll adjust your session timing as needed.
Privacy: will you share photos of my family on your social media and website?
That’s up to you! I respect your families privacy choices. You will be able to opt in or out of the model release on your client questionnaire after booking your session.
